Selections Criteria and Process

Selection is undertaken competitively across the Asia-Pacific region, with Australian Overseas Posts (Embassies and High Commissions or their managing contractor) managing the application and selection processes.
The Papua New Guinea post will shortlist candidates based on eligibility. This process may involve applications being considered by an external selection panel and applicants asked to attend an interview in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Candidates must be available to attend the interview.
The Papua New Guinea posts will than make recommendations to the final selection panel in Canberra, Australia.
Gender and regional representation is also taken into consideration during the selection process.

Decisions of the selection panel are final and confidential and no correspondence regarding outcomes of the selection process will be entered into.
