Eligibility and Conditions

Each year the Australian Government allocates 130 Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) to be
available to Papua New Guinea citizens commencing in the following year.

These scholarships are for PNG citizens to study at the tertiary level in Australia only and not for study
in PNG or another country. The study must be taken on a full time basis at an Institution that has
established a contract with the Australian Government for the provision of study facilities for this purpose.
A list of these institutions is given on this website.

The eligibility for ADS comprises criteria set at two levels.

The first are those set by the Government of Australia (AusAID) and apply to the over 33 ADS participating
countries troughout the world.
