The Virtual Colombo Plan (VCP) conducted under PATTAF
piloted flexible mixed mode ODL methodologies in PNG with emphasis
wherever possible on using on information and communications
technology (ICT).
The programs were delivered in a capacity building
partnership between Australian and PNG Universities.
Subsequent tracer studies and value-for-money
assessments report very favourably on the VCP or Open and Distance
Learning (ODL) methodology as very effective capacity building
strategy for both people and institutions in Papua New Guinea.
